how we would advertise it

bus's,bus stops,billboards,magazines,newspapers,television, online adverts
this gives us a massive variety of places to get our film shown, more places more chance of people going to see the film.

how we'd advertise the product

billboards,bus adverts,Television,Posters, bus stop adverts,magazines,local newspaper,online adverts

if we could go back

if we could go back i would get a decent actor to play the male role instead of using myself.
organise the music slightly better so if i ask musicians to help they can do so quickly and efficiently and to have more time to remaster the music to make it perfect with the film.

what we have to improve

title size should be slightly smaller.
Music should have been less upbeat.
editing needs a bit more work in some places, too quick or too long between cuts

location troubles

i think the location we chose was good but i did not take into account the amount of people that actually use All Saints passage. in some ways the busy city scene adds something to the thriller but it is very distracting and annoying when pedestrians decide to look straight at the camera or get in the way of the actors moving about. In total it took about 2 and a half hours to completely film the scene because we had to wait for people to move past the camera and have as little sound as possible before we could start filming. i think the location was good because All Saints is a fairly small passsage way where someone could easily get robbed if it weren't so crowded which really is the sort of feeling we wanted to give not having the character being robbed while 5+ pedestrians wander past wondering what we're doing.

inspiration for thriller

the idea behind our thriller is a cross between the film 'Catch me if you can'/chase thrillers. the music and sound effects are very bassy and techno based. adding in miscellanious sounds during the chasing scene to create a weird confusing atmosphere for the audience.

First Draft of piece

the first draft ofthe thriller piece was not a success as we did not include half of the things we needed too. the final product was without music, sound effects or Titles. by the end of this week when the final piece is fully due in i will have edited together and put on all the music sound effects and titles and make the piece alot more professional then it currently is.

Final music

All music has been written by Pat and edited/overlayed using Garageband and other Garageband sounds. the music i have written is all played on an acoustic guitar and consists of bass tracks, strumming patterns and harmonies. i will then layer in Violins/other stringed instruments and brass instruments just to make a better sense of tension in the scene. the music was recorded on school site in a hallway as i could not use the music block because of music exams.

Final Title idea

This is our final Idea for our titles it is the Lucida Bright font with Demibold and sharp texture added to the font the size of the fonts will be around 72pt. finally with layer effects in photoshop we added drop shadows to surround the font, a Bevel to make the font tighter and finally a Gradient overlay to make the contrast between the light colour at the top and the dark colour at the bottom.
